Starcraft II: Terran Warhound
Gets Put To Sleep

Two weeks into Starcraft II’s Heart of the Swarm Beta, the Terran’s anti-mechanical unit, the Warhound was removed from the game. That’s a bit of a drastic “patch”.

Unforunately, the Warhound was more of an anti-everything unit. It’s got the best bang for the buck than any other unit in the game. This guy made a sandbox test pitting a gang of Warhounds against an similar force of other units matching resources and supply. The results were a little scary:

Banelings won. As did the siege tanks, but I don’t think any ground unit can survive either of these units in such a large gathering. I hope Blizzard either revises the Warhound or give Terrans something more than Hellion Go-Bots and Widow Mines for the expansion. It seems a little late in the game to create a whole new unit. We’ll have to wait and see.
